Main texts: Acts 27 (read before listening), Psalm 107 (read during sermon)

Doing things without consulting God is dangerous. He will send messengers, often men of God, to guide you away from disobedience. If you ignore these messengers and enter into disobedience, you may initially think you are getting what you want, but your sin will find you out (as the storm finds a ship in the open seas). To be saved from this punishment, we must come to the altar weeping, repenting, and recognizing where we have fallen from. Even amidst a ship wreck, the floating planks in the water (the cross of Jesus) are there to carry us back to safety. Allow God to bring you back to him!
